Missing Man Mystery Haunts Family Four Years On
Richard vanished without a trace on Sunday, 17 November 2019. Since then, his family, South Yorkshire Police, and local media have been desperate for answers — but his whereabouts remain a mystery.
Daughter’s Heartbreaking Plea
His daughter, 22-year-old Bethany, says the pain never eases. “It breaks my heart over and over again,” she shared.
Every year, Bethany faces another birthday without her dad. “I would always see Dad on his birthday,” she recalled. “He’d bring me my Christmas presents and card, and I’d give him his. He’d pick me up, and we’d go to my aunt’s house for Christmas dinner — such a happy time of the year. Now I dread it and can’t enjoy it anymore.”
She added, “At work, seeing everyone excited for Christmas while I have to pretend to be happy is heartbreaking. Every day waking up without knowing what happened feels like no closure. Somebody must know something — I just don’t understand why anyone would keep this secret and put a family through so much pain.”
“If you do know something, please come forward. Even if you think it’s insignificant, it could be crucial,” Bethany urged. “Dad, if you’re reading this, you can tell us where you are. I will understand. I just want relief and answers.”
Police Still Seeking Answers
Temporary Detective Chief Inspector Andy Knowles leads the investigation. He said: “Somebody knows where Richard is. We hope they come forward to end this ordeal for Bethany and everyone who loves him. If Richard is reading this, please get in touch. You will not be in trouble, and you will bring huge peace of mind to your family and friends.”
