Gunshot Horror in Southwark as 20-Year-Old Found Critically Injured
At around 5.40pm on Wednesday 28 December, police on patrol stumbled upon a seriously wounded 20-year-old man on Camberwell Church Street, near Grove Lane, SE5.
Air Ambulance Scrambles to Scene
London’s Air Ambulance rushed to treat the victim at the scene before he was rushed to a south London hospital. He is suffering from gunshot wounds and head injuries and remains in a critical condition. His family have been informed.
Linked Shooting in Peckham
Police have put up cordons around Camberwell Church Street and nearby Leontine Close in Peckham, SE15.
The Peckham cordon is linked to shots fired just minutes before the injured man was found. Investigators believe these two incidents are connected. Thankfully, no other injuries have been reported.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
No arrests have been made yet. Officers are working hard to piece together what happened in this brazen shooting.
