Two Charged Over East London Double Shooting
Ayaani Ali Adan, 19, from East Street, Barking, and Ayman Abasheikh, 18, of Stratton Road, Romford, were arrested on Friday, 11 November. Early Monday morning, both were charged with a string of serious offences linked to a deadly shooting in East London.
Charges Include Murder, Attempted Murder & Firearms Offences
- Two counts of murder
- One count of attempted murder
- Possession with intent to supply a Class B drug
- Possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life
- Possession of a knife in public
- Possession of ammunition without a certificate
Both men appeared at Bexley Magistrates’ Court on Monday and have been remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, 16 November.
Deadly Shooting Shakes Henley Road Community
Police were first called just after midnight on Tuesday, 25 October, following reports of a shooting inside a property on Henley Road. Armed officers arrived alongside paramedics and found three men suffering gunshot wounds.
Tragically, 23-year-old Saydi Abu Sheikh and 32-year-old Zakariya Jeilani Mohamed, both from Ilford, were pronounced dead at the scene. A third victim, aged 30, was rushed to hospital and remains in serious but stable condition.
Police Urge Public to Come Forward
Specialist officers continue to support the victims’ families. The investigation is ongoing, with police appealing for witnesses to step up.
