Man Trapped Under Train at Eden Park Near Bromley Dies

Emergency crews rushed to Eden Park station near Bromley after a man became trapped under a train just after 7pm.

Blind Man Falls onto Track

It’s believed the victim, who may have been blind, fell onto the tracks unaware the train hadn’t fully stopped. The incident occurred under the third carriage of a Hayes to Charing Cross service.

Heroic Attempts to Save Victim

The train driver was first to raise the alarm. British Transport Police, London Ambulance, and Fire crews scrambled to the scene. Despite their best efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the site.

Confusion Over Door Siren Blamed

An investigation is underway after reports suggest the man may have been disoriented by a nearby train’s door siren, arriving just moments before on the opposite platform.
