Police have closed their investigation into the heartbreaking death of seven-month-old Elle Doherty in Coventry. Detectives confirmed no criminal offences were committed in the shocking incident.

Emergency Called After Dog Attack

On Sunday afternoon, emergency services rushed to a home on Shorncliffe Road just after 3 PM. There, officers and paramedics found baby Elle with severe head injuries caused by the family’s Belgian Malinois dog.

Elle was given immediate medical care at the scene before being rushed to hospital. Tragically, she died shortly afterward. Our thoughts are with the Doherty family during this devastating ordeal.

Family Pet Destroyed, Investigation Wraps Up

The dog was taken from the property and humanely put down on Sunday.
