Kent Pub Shooting: Woman Fatally Shot on Valentine’s Night
Police are hunting a gunman after a woman was fatally shot outside the Three Horseshoes pub in Knockholt, Kent, on Valentine’s Night, February 14, 2025. The victim was shot with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun, authorities confirm.
Crucial Evidence Found in Suspect’s Car
Forensic teams have recovered key evidence from a Seat vehicle linked to the suspect. Items found include:
- Three bullet casings – two spent and one unused in the chamber
- Two AU Vodka pre-mixed drink cans in the front cup holder
- A Louis Vuitton clutch bag in the front of the car
- A child’s top in the back seat
Ballistics tests are underway to match the casings to the murder weapon.
Suspect on the Loose After Fatal Attack
The suspect, believed to be the victim’s former partner, fled on foot after firing two shots from inside the car and a final shot as the woman lay dying. Despite CPR from a pub customer and others, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Massive Manhunt Launched
- Armed police put Knockholt village on lockdown and are conducting door-to-door searches
- National Police Air Service helicopter deployed to track the suspect, who remains at large
- Forensics continue scouring the crime scene and vehicle for more clues
Kent Police Appeal to the Public
“We are urgently searching for the suspect and following multiple leads. The key evidence found in the vehicle aids our investigation, but we urgently need the public’s help to locate him,” said a Kent Police spokesperson.
