Man Charged After Woman Stabbed Near Luton Primary School
A 30-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following the stabbing of a woman near a primary school in Luton.
Barze Faesal Arrested After Morning Attack
Barze Faesal, of no fixed address, was arrested after a woman in her 20s was stabbed multiple times on Dunstable Road at around 8:30am on Tuesday, during the school drop-off.
The victim suffered serious injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.
Court Appearance and Police Response
Faesal appeared today at Luton Magistrates’ Court and has been remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Luton Crown Court on 24 June.
Police and forensic teams were spotted working at the crime scene, which was cordoned off and covered by a forensic tent.
Bedfordshire Police said: “Officers will continue with high-visibility patrols in the area for community engagement and reassurance in the wake of the incident.”
School on Lockdown, Community Left Shaken
All children inside the unnamed primary school were reported safe, with the school placed on lockdown for about an hour as a precaution.
A school spokesperson confirmed: “Bedfordshire Police is investigating the stabbing near the school on Dunstable Road. Parents have been informed, and emotional support is available to children and staff.”
Local workers nearby heard rumours of the stabbing and expressed concern, though details about the victim’s condition remain limited.
