On Tuesday morning, multiple yellow 1 alerts for snow, ice, and fog covered huge areas. These warnings will stay in place until midday on Thursday, meaning slippery roads and icy platforms for days.
Travel Nightmare: Roads, Rails Hit Hard
The Met Office said snow showers and icy patches will “cause some travel disruption.” Drivers and passengers should expect longer journeys on roads, buses, and trains as “some roads and railways are likely to be affected.
- London and the South East remain under a yellow ice warning until 11 a.m. Tuesday.
