Woman Rushed to Hospital After Suspected Heart Attack at Shanklin Hotel

Emergency services raced to a Shanklin hotel this afternoon after a woman collapsed with a suspected heart attack. The drama unfolded just after 5pm on Tuesday, July 31st, at a hotel on Queen Road, Isle of Wight.

Paramedics and Firefighters Spring into Action

The Isle of Wight ambulance service and Shanklin fire crew arrived quickly after the call. Paramedics treated and stabilised the woman inside her room.

With no lift available, firefighters were called in to help move her from the second floor. Using a salvage sheet, they carefully transported her to the waiting ambulance.

Serious Condition at St Mary’s Hospital

The woman was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport, where her condition remains serious. Emergency crews acted fast to give her the best chance.
