Teen Jailed for Worthing Stabbing Caught by Police
A 14-year-old boy has been locked up after stabbing a 13-year-old in Worthing earlier this year. The victim suffered wounds to his leg and shoulder on Liverpool Road on the afternoon of 13 March.
Police Act Fast After Town Centre Altercation
The attack followed a verbal clash between two groups of youths in the busy town centre. Officers on patrol were quickly flagged down and provided immediate first aid before the victim was rushed to hospital and later discharged.
Seven Arrested After Drone, CCTV, and Witness Hunt
Police launched a full investigation using CCTV footage, witness statements, and drone searches. Seven youths were arrested, though their identities remain protected for legal reasons.
- A 14-year-old local boy was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a knife in public.
- He pleaded guilty at Lewes Crown Court and was sentenced to four years in a youth offender institute plus two years on extended licence.
- Three suspects were released without further action; the remaining three were also dropped by prosecutors.
