Keith Chaplin Faces Multiple Charges
Keith Chaplin, 76, a former electrician from Kingsley Close, St Leonards, has been hit with four historic sexual offence charges, Sussex Police confirmed. The Hastings Community Investigation team uncovered the allegations, which date back to the 1990s and 2000s.
Grave Allegations Involve Two Victims
Chaplin faces one count of indecent assault on a boy under 16 and three counts of sexual assault on a male. Two victims, who remain anonymous for legal reasons, independently came forward to report their experiences. Police say the victims do not know each other.
Next Court Appearance Scheduled
Chaplin was arrested and is set to appear at Hastings Magistrates’ Court on October 23 to answer the charges.
