Teen Stabbed Near Asda in Redditch, Murder Charge Looms
Violence erupted near Asda on Jinnah Road, Redditch, at around 7.20pm last Tuesday when Ian Kirwan was stabbed.
Arrests Mount as Investigation Intensifies
West Mercia Police have now arrested 11 youths in connection with the attack. Eight were detained earlier in the week, with three more taken into custody on Thursday.
Teen Charged with Murder Remanded in Custody
One of those arrested, a teenager who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday. He confirmed only his name, date of birth, and address before being remanded in custody. He is set to appear at Worcester Crown Court on Monday.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
- Three youths, including the boy charged with murder, remain in custody.
- Of the 11 arrested, one has been released on bail and seven were freed with no further action.
Officers continue to appeal for witnesses to step forward and assist with their inquiries.
