Police Nabbed Turner with Knife in Hand
Officers arrived quickly and found a knife discarded in a nearby garden. Turner was arrested at the scene, facing serious charges.
Detective Warns: Knife Crime Means Prison
“The seriousness of this incident is reflected in the prison sentence. Carrying and using a knife to commit crime is likely to end in you going to prison,” said Det Con Mark Ackroyd of Wakefield CID.
“Thankfully, no lives were lost but it could’ve gone very differently. Anyone prepared to use a knife is a danger to the public. We will keep targeting offenders to make our streets safer.”
