Michael Littlefield, 39, from Camborne Close, Bishopstoke, has been convicted of multiple child sex offences. A Southampton Crown Court jury found him guilty after a five-day trial on April 25, 2022.
Convicted on Multiple Counts
- Eight counts of sexual assault on a child under 13
- Two counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child
- One count of assault on a child under 13
- Two counts of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity
The jury acquitted him of one count of rape and one count of inciting a child to sexual activity.
Horrific Abuse Spanned Six Years
The court heard Littlefield abused three children in the Eastleigh and Hedge End areas between August 2014 and October 2020. One of the victims was a child he babysat.
Today (June 17), Winchester Crown Court sentenced Littlefield to 14 years in prison. He will serve an additional four years on licence after release. A Sexual Harm Prevention Order has also been imposed.
Police Praise Victims’ Courage
“I must record the incredible bravery of all three victims in coming forward. Their maturity helped us secure justice with today’s sentence,” said Kimberly Duncan from Hampshire Constabulary’s Child Abuse Investigation Team.
She added, “These young lives were cruelly stolen, but a dangerous man is now behind bars. We hope the sentence brings victims some closure.”
Hampshire Constabulary emphasised its commitment to supporting survivors. “If you have been a victim of rape or sexual assault, please report it as soon as possible,” they said. “Even if you’re unsure, we want to hear from you to ensure your safety.”
