Bristol Man Mario DiMaggio Jailed for Life Over Sickening Sexual Crimes
Mario DiMaggio, from Jacobs Wells Road, Bristol, has been found guilty by a jury of two counts of rape and 12 counts of sexual assault. All the offences were committed against the same woman in early 2019.
Judge Labels DiMaggio “Predatory” as He Hands Down Harsh Sentence
Judge William Hart slammed DiMaggio’s behaviour as “predatory” during sentencing. DiMaggio was handed a lengthy prison term and slapped with a lifetime restraining order. He will also be registered on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life.
Detective Praises Victim’s Bravery and Urges Others to Come Forward
“Mario DiMaggio is a predatory sex offender and a danger to women,” said DC Martin Rutterford, the investigating officer. “After the jury saw the extremely harrowing evidence, they unanimously found him guilty on all charges.”
