Teen Stabs Innocent Loui to Death in Planned Attack
17-Year-Old Admits Murdering Loui in Cold Blood
A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted stabbing and killing Loui in a shocking, unprovoked attack. The teenager faced Sheffield Crown Court on Monday (25 October) over the brutal assault that took place on Sunday 8 August.
Loui Attacked While Cycling – Knife to the Chest
Loui was cycling along Fish Bank Lane with a friend at about 2pm when the teen approached from the opposite direction. Without warning, the attacker stabbed Loui once in the chest before calmly walking away. Loui had never even met his killer.
Heroic Efforts Couldn’t Save Loui’s Life
Rushed to hospital, Loui underwent emergency open-heart surgery to remove the blade, followed by further operations in the specialist Cardiac Unit. Despite doctors’ best efforts, Loui tragically died four days later on 12 August.
Investigation Reveals Jealous Motive, No Remorse from Killer
“This is an incredibly tragic case where an innocent young boy was stabbed to death because his attacker was jealous,” said DCI Mark Oughton.
“The killer planned his attack, locating Loui and his friend, purposely setting out to stab him. He’s shown no remorse and maintained innocence until Monday.”
“Loui was still conscious after being stabbed and even gave a full account of the attack to a police officer on the way to hospital. All he wanted to know was where his mum was.”
“My thoughts are with Loui’s mum, family, and friends; their loss is unimaginable. No court result can ever make up for that.”
The teenager will return to Sheffield Crown Court for sentencing on Friday 17 December.
