Paedophile Locked Up for Preying on 13-Year-Old
Daniel Haslam, 26, from Highbrook, was sentenced to six years behind bars yesterday at Leicester Crown Court. The vile predator was found guilty of 12 counts of sexually assaulting a child and inciting sex with an adult after targeting a 13-year-old victim.
No Remorse, Only Evil
Throughout the trial, Haslam showed zero remorse. He even forced the terrified victim to testify in court. Now, he faces life on the sex offender register, ensuring authorities keep tabs on him forever.
Detective Slams ‘Remorseless Sexual Deviant’
Detective Constable Paul Lilley of Northamptonshire Police’s Child Protection Team called Haslam “nothing short of a remorseless dangerous sexual deviant.”
“His abuse was sustained and premeditated. If the brave victim hadn’t come forward, it would have gone on much longer,” said DC Lilley.
He praised the victim’s courage, adding: “She has handled herself impeccably throughout. I hope this conviction brings her closure.”
Police Promise to Take Every Report Seriously
DC Lilley stressed Northamptonshire Police’s commitment to handling sexual assault cases with the utmost sensitivity.
“We will believe you,” he vowed.
