Teen Brutally Stabs Girl 60 Times in Chilling Attempted Murder
A 17-year-old boy, whose name is withheld for legal reasons, viciously attacked a teenage girl in July 2021, leaving her battered with life-threatening injuries.
Quick Police Work Nabbed the Attacker
Following a thorough investigation by Kent and Essex’s Serious Crime Directorate, the teen admitted to attempted murder. He was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 4 March 2022 to a national tariff of 10 years. If released, he will be on a whole life licence—closely monitored for life.
Horrific Scene: Victim Left for Hours After Savage Assault
- The victim, a teenage girl, was found by a dog walker around 7.30am on 22 July 2021, in a field off Highsted Road near Swanstree Avenue.
- She likely lay unattended for at least seven hours before help arrived.
- Emergency services, including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance, and Kent Surrey Sussex Air Ambulance, rushed her to hospital.
- Doctors found a terrifying 60 stab wounds across her body and a total of 99 recorded injuries.
Damning Evidence Sealed the Teen’s Fate
Friends and acquaintances identified the attacker early on. Police found deleted text messages on his phone showing a chilling desire to stab the girl. He even searched online for how cops investigate murders right after the attack.
CCTV from local homes tracked the teenager meeting the victim near midnight on 21 July. Although mostly shadowy footage, it was enough for police to reconstruct their movements.

“The brutality inflicted was abhorrent. It’s chilling that someone so young could coldly plan such a sickening attack,” said Detective Chief Inspector Neil Kimber. “Our priority was always supporting the victim, who has shown amazing bravery and strength in her recovery.”
“Thanks to the professionalism of my team and first responders, we arrested the offender within hours. This boy poses a serious public danger, and I hope prison support helps stop him harming anyone else.”
