A Corby drug dealer has been jailed for 12 years and five months after pleading guilty to a number of firearms offences – UKNIP

Gunman Jack Sikora Locked Up for Over a Decade

Jack Sikora, 22, from Corby, has been handed a hefty 12 years and five months behind bars after a shocking crime spree involving guns and drugs. Just months after firing a starting pistol at a crowd outside a local pub, Sikora was back to ordering pistols to convert into deadly firearms.

From Pub Threat to Gun Production Line

In April 2021, Sikora shocked pub-goers outside The Phoenix on Beanfield Avenue by firing a starting pistol into the crowd. The courts gave him a suspended sentence, hoping he’d mend his ways. But just six days later, he was back online, buying pistols with plans to turn them lethal.

Police got wind of his dodgy dealings and stopped him on August 6, 2022, in a taxi on Cottingham Road. They found cocaine on him and raided his flat on Thoresby Road, where they uncovered not just more Class A drugs but a fully operational gun production line.

Deadly Arsenal and Drug Bust

  • Sikora had converted six pistols into real firearms, complete with altered ammunition.
  • He sold two guns to Corby men, both later jailed for over five years.
  • Three pistols were recovered from his flat; one remains missing.

Police charged Sikora with multiple offences including possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply, possession and sale of prohibited weapons, and ammunition offences. He pleaded guilty at Northampton Crown Court in December 2022.

Justice Served

On June 30, Sikora returned to court to receive his sentence: a jail term stretching over 12 years.

“Despite being given a second chance by the courts for a previous firearms offence, he was back ordering pistols just six days later. This behaviour demonstrated a complete lack of remorse and I am pleased that this time, he has been sent to prison,” said Lead Investigator DC Natalie Atchison.

Detective Inspector Darren Brown of the East Midlands Special Operations Unit added, “Tackling serious and organised crime is a priority for Northamptonshire Police. We work hard to ensure offenders like Sikora face justice.”

A POCA hearing related to Sikora’s case is set for August 4, 2023.
