Girl, 24, Jailed for Stabbing Teen Lover to Death in Croydon Flat
Kamila Ahmad, 24, was condemned today for fatally stabbing her 19-year-old lover, Tai Jordan O’Donnell, in his Croydon flat. Tai bled to death after a knife struck his left thigh on March 3, 2021—just a day after his mother warned about their relationship.
Chilling Snapchat Confession and Past Violence
Hours after the stabbing, Ahmad shockingly messaged a friend on Snapchat: “Fam I stabbed someone and no one is helping me clear him up.” This wasn’t her first violent offence; six years earlier, she faced charges for stabbing an ex-boyfriend. At Croydon Crown Court, despite the evidence, she denied murder and wounding with intent.
Victim’s Mother Demands Tough Justice
Tai’s mother, Stacey, pleaded for the harshest sentence possible, revealing how her son’s death has devastated her life. She admitted suffering from severe sadness, anxiety, and PTSD in the grim aftermath.
Judge Brands Ahmad ‘Highly Dangerous’
Judge Peter Gower KC rejected the defence claim there was “no attempt to kill,” calling Ahmad a “highly dangerous young woman.” She also received a seven-year sentence for wounding Karim Hussain, to run concurrently with the murder sentence.
About 60 friends and family gathered in court to witness the sentencing, marking an emotional end to a tragic chapter in Croydon’s dark crime tale.
