Eastbourne Drug Dealer Busted in Major Police Sting

Jordan Catt, 27, has been locked up for six years after running a “county lines” heroin supply operation in Eastbourne. The unemployed dealer used a “CJ” phone line to flood the streets with class A drugs between September 2021 and February 2022.

Multi-Force Operation Snaps Up Dealer

On February 10, cops swooped on Catt’s Eastbourne home on Pevensey Road. Sussex Police teamed up with Surrey Police and the Metropolitan Police in a major crackdown under Operation Orochi and Operation Centurion, targeting the county lines network.

At the scene, officers seized multiple “burner” phones plus Catt’s personal mobile. The evidence on those phones confirmed he was running the CJ line.

Burner Phones Spammed Users, Linked Dealer’s Personal Life

Investigators found Catt used burner phones to spam bulk marketing texts to potential drug users across Eastbourne. Surprisingly, the burner phones also held calls to his dentist, a veterinary clinic, and taxi firms traced back to his home in Polegate.

Dealer Admits Guilt, Faces Jail

Catt pled guilty at Lewes Crown Court to supplying heroin, a class A drug. He was sentenced to six years behind bars.

“We are pleased with the outcome of this case,” said Detective Constable Glen Saunders.

“Our joint investigation has disrupted the supply of class A drugs in Eastbourne. Catt was dealing heroin for a long time and targeting vulnerable users in our community.”

“This sends a clear message: we are determined to catch drug dealers who harm our towns.”
