A car was reduced to ashes in a fiery blaze in Horndean last night. Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the scene just before midnight after multiple emergency calls reporting a car on fire on Mill Lane, near the B2177 junction.

Firefighters from Horndean arrived to find the vehicle fully engulfed in flames. They battled the inferno for more than 30 minutes with two hose reel jets before finally putting it out.

The blaze completely destroyed the car, leaving nothing but charred wreckage behind.

Thankfully, no injuries have been reported following the dramatic fire.

Authorities believe the fire was accidental, but investigations are ongoing.
