Young Man Stabbed to Death in Hornchurch – Murder Charges Made
Xhovan Pepaj, 25, was found fatally stabbed on Caley Road at 3.15am on Saturday, 4 December 2021. He suffered multiple stab wounds.
Two Teenagers Charged with Murder and Robbery Plot
Just three days later, on 7 December, cops from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate charged Ciaran Stewart, 18, of Curtis Road, Hornchurch, and a 17-year-old boy from Ilford with murder. Both have also been slapped with conspiracy to commit robbery charges.
The pair are locked up and set to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 6 January 2022.
More Arrests: Three Men Linked to Robbery Conspiracy
Officers didn’t stop there. Donte Simpson-Palmer, 18, of Norfolk Road, Ilford; Mohammed Miah, 25, from Romford; and Nathan Turner, 28, from Brentwood, were hit with conspiracy to commit robbery charges. Turner also faces a charge of possessing cannabis with intent to supply.
All three are also remanded for the Maidstone Crown Court hearing.
Latest: Three More Men Nabbed as Total Arrests Hit Eleven
On Monday 20 December, police arrested and charged three more suspected conspirators: Zach Cutting, 23, from Waltham Abbey; Ray Renda, 21, and Nathan Rainforth, 20, both from Pilgrims Hatch, Brentwood.
They will appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 21 December. So far, a total of eleven individuals have been arrested in connection with the stabbing and the robbery plot.
Meanwhile, three other suspects remain on police bail pending further investigations.
