Burglars and Robbers Jailed for Nearly 13 Years in June Crackdown

In a major win for law enforcement, a dedicated team of uniformed officers and detectives nailed down a combined 12 years and nine months in prison sentences for burglars and robbers during June.

Serial Burglar Caught After Home Invasion in Gillingham

Michael Williams, a repeat offender, struck while residents slept near Watling Street, Gillingham. He stole tablets, phones, wallets, bank cards, and a handbag before making his getaway.

Local CCTV quickly identified Williams. Authorities found out he tried withdrawing cash with one of the stolen bank cards. He pleaded guilty and got slammed with 4 years and 7 months behind bars at Napier Road Prison, Gillingham.

Williams also received an additional 1 year and 3 months for breaching a suspended sentence. He must serve half of his time before parole.

Masked Robber Threatens Elderly Cashier in Gravesend Newsagent Raid

Gavin Jarvis from Palmer Avenue, Gravesend, was locked up for 3 years and 4 months after holding up a newsagent on Livingstone Road wearing a balaclava. He threatened an elderly woman, demanded cash from the till, then fled with stolen money.

CCTV footage placed Jarvis at the scene. He was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court on June 27.

Crackdown Sees 30 Arrests for Theft and Burglary Across the South East

The Crime Squad also arrested 30 suspects during June. Among them were three men charged with stealing luxury cars across Kent, Sussex, and Essex.

  • Radu Rostas, 30, of Felixstowe Road, Eltham
  • Ionel Anghel, 31, of Bexley Lane, Dartford
  • Geoni Rostas, 27, of Sheridan Road, Belvedere

All three face charges of conspiracy to steal vehicles and fraud tied to selling stolen cars, with court dates set for later this month.

Another Burglar Arrested in Kent-Essex Crime Spree

James Campbell, 29, of Stephenson Avenue, Tilbury, Essex, faces nine burglary counts, attempted burglary, plus two counts of driving under the influence. His offences spanned Maidstone, Aylesford, Dartford, and parts of Essex. He’s currently in custody awaiting trial.
