Paedophile Christopher Manning Gets 25 Years for Horrific Abuse
Christopher Manning, 38, has been slammed with a 25-year jail sentence after National Crime Agency (NCA) investigators uncovered his horrifying online activity and horrific sex crimes against children.
Online Monster Exposed by NCA
The NCA tracked Manning using an encrypted chat platform where he swapped vile indecent material and encouraged others to abuse children. Manning openly admitted to being “into” young kids and shockingly claimed he sexually assaulted a four-year-old girl multiple times, even wanting to record the abuse.
He also begged an online contact to send videos of sexual assaults on children aged seven and 11. Manning was arrested at his Grantham home in February last year, with Lincolnshire Police support.
Decades of Abuse Revealed
Following extensive NCA investigations and witness interviews, it emerged Manning had been raping and abusing kids for years. His first victim recalled waking up to Manning raping her at age seven; the abuse continued until she was 21.
Another victim, a vulnerable boy, was abused repeatedly for a decade from age seven. Manning also assaulted girls aged 11 and 14, asking under-15s online for naked images via Snapchat.
Police found eight different VPNs on Manning’s phone to hide his searches for child abuse material, along with over 100 images of girls in their underwear.
Justice Served After Gruesome Trial
Charged with 21 counts including rape and indecent image offences, Manning was convicted on all counts after an 11-day trial at Lincoln Crown Court.
One victim said: “It has always been in the back of my mind since coming forward last year. Until then it had been buried. Even after the guilty verdicts it still doesn’t feel like it’s over.”
Another added: “After all of the years of abuse it still affects me to this day. I have a fear of unknown men and I get scared when men approach me. I get flashbacks and nightmares.”
A third said: “Going to court to re-live it was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do… I’m glad I’ve been believed. I now feel stronger and generally happy it’s over.”
Sentencing him, Judge Sjolin Knight called Manning’s crimes “a campaign of rape” and branded him “a dangerous offender who posed a high risk to children.” Manning will serve 25 years behind bars plus four years on licence.
David Levett, Senior Investigating Officer at the NCA, said: “Christopher Manning inflicted the most horrific abuse over many years. The impact on victims is devastating. Thanks to their bravery we secured his conviction. He is a prolific, dangerous sex offender and this sentence reflects his vile crimes. The NCA will continue to hunt down offenders like Manning.”
