New Arrest in TV Star Pool Death Case Shocks Essex
Stuart Lubbock, 31, was found dead in a TV presenter’s pool in Roydon, Essex, back in March 2001 after a party. Now, police have swooped again. On 17 March, a 50-year-old man was arrested in Cheshire following “significant new information,” Essex Police revealed.
Suspect Released but Investigation Rolls On
The man was granted bail until 12 April but was later released under investigation, Essex Police confirmed on Sunday. The probe into Stuart’s death continues, with detectives still hunting for answers.
Detective Vows to Deliver Justice After 23 Years
“We have never given up on finding out what exactly happened to Stuart and we will not stop in our pursuit of justice for him and for his family and friends,” said Detective Superintendent Lucy Morris.
Described by neighbours as a “pleasant, sociable” butcher from Harlow, Stuart suffered “horrific” injuries before his death, a post-mortem revealed. The case remains “extremely lengthy and complex,” according to Det Supt Morris, who remains determined to crack the mystery.
