Paedophile John Thorogood Busted in Global Child Abuse Ring

John Thorogood, 75, has been unmasked as a key player in a sinister international child abuse network. The UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA), working with Europol and Dutch authorities, revealed he travelled worldwide to sexually assault boys.

Horrific Abuse Uncovered in Morocco

Thorogood appeared in multiple disturbing images recovered from a fellow gang member. The shocking photos show him abusing boys aged 10 to 12 in Morocco back in 2012. Investigators seized over 200,000 abuse images. Some pictures, taken by Thorogood himself, contained children as young as one year old.

Encrypted Emails Crack the Case Wide Open

The vile ring communicated via encrypted emails, a haul of which helped crack the case wide open. Crucial evidence included a photo of Thorogood’s suitcase featuring a luggage label with flight details, linking him directly to the crimes. He has now been slapped with a 15-year sexual harm prevention order, placed on the sex offenders register for life, and faces a five-year worldwide travel ban.

NCA Vows to Hunt Down Every Abuser

“Thorogood was a member of a transnational network who conspired together to abuse vulnerable children in remote, often impoverished parts of the world,” said Phil 1, Ops Manager at the NCA.

“The scale of this network is unprecedented. Every trip was meticulously planned to abuse kids. They shared photos to further re-victimise the children.

“Despite their efforts to hide via encrypted emails, joint international operations exposed them. We won’t stop until every member faces justice.

“Protecting children and disrupting top-tier offenders worldwide is our mission. Teamwork with global partners is vital.”
