West London Drug Gang Gets Locked Up for Over £1 Million Cocaine Dealings

Four members of a West London organised crime gang have been handed hefty jail sentences after organising drug deals worth more than £1 million. Police seized nearly £1 million in cash and 11kg of high-purity cocaine in a major crackdown.

Hefty Jail Terms for Drug Kingpins

  • Matthew O’Brien, 32, from Ruislip – 15 years and 9 months
  • Georgie Norris, 20, Ealing – 12 years and 8 months
  • Mark Breagan, 38, Ealing – 10 years and 4 months
  • Alfie Whitbread, 21, Ealing – 8 years and 10 months

All four pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply Class A drugs at Isleworth Crown Court on 18 March.

Encrypted Phones Exposed Organised Crime Network

The gang operated using encrypted Encrochat devices to arrange cocaine deals across London. The conspiracy had two halves: a West London crew including the jailed four, and an East London group sentenced last year.

  • Jack Lee, 33, of Weelling – 16 years
  • Gareth Morris, 56, Plumstead – 7 years
  • Lee Willetts, 28, Greenford – 7 years

This East London trio pleaded guilty in September 2021 to the same charges.

Weekly Supply Runs and Massive Imports

The West London gang regularly shipped over 10 kilos of cocaine weekly to East London, who then distributed it further south. At the top, gang leaders discussed joint imports as large as 100 kilos and shared vital intel.

Police surveillance caught key moments: On 13 May 2020, £232,595 in cash was passed between Gareth Morris and Alfie Whitbread. Two days later, Lee Willetts was stopped with 11 kilos of purity cocaine, destined for Kent.

Raids in August 2020 led to the arrests of the four West London suspects. Officers found encrypted devices loaded with messages detailing daily cocaine deals, cash counts, and money laundering schemes.

Detective Inspector Stephen Masterson said: “These convictions show how seriously the Met tackles Class A drug suppliers. The messages from their encrypted phones reveal the vast scale of their operation.”

“Drugs and violence go hand in hand, ruining lives across London. We’ll keep hunting down these criminals and bring them to justice.”
