Stoke-on-Trent Man Busted With Cocaine and Cannabis
Jack Humphries, 27, from Shelburne Street, Stoke-on-Trent, has been handed a hefty sentence of seven years and two months behind bars. He pled guilty to possessing and intending to supply Class A drugs, plus possession and intent to supply Class B drugs on two separate occasions.
Back in June 2021, police swooped on a property in Fenton after a tip-off. They uncovered over 12 grams of cocaine valued at £1,300, along with a tub of cannabis plants, two mobile phones, and digital scales.
Humphries’ Drug Empire Exposed Again in Follow-Up Raid
Although initially released under investigation, detectives kept tabs on Humphries. In March this year, cops raided his home again, stumbling upon nearly 14 grams of cocaine cleverly stashed behind a hob extractor fan.
The search also revealed more than £450 in cash, a machete, another phone, deal bags, and digital scales—standard kit for a drug dealer.
Officer Blasts Humphries’ Brazen Drug Dealing
“Humphries maintained his unlawful behaviour after being arrested and prosecuted back in June last year,” said PC Ian Prendergast, who led the investigation.
“He sought to conceal the narcotics in his residence and was determined to spread these dangerous chemicals across our community for his own criminal benefit.”
PC Prendergast added: “I am pleased with the sentence and hope that it reassures the public that we will continue to do all possible to disrupt the supply of narcotics in Staffordshire.”
