22-Year-Old Murdered in Hackney Stabbing

A murder probe is underway after a stabbing in Clarence Mews, Hackney shocked the area on Thursday afternoon.

Tragedy on Clarence Mews

Police were called at 2.01pm on 5 December following reports of a stabbing. Emergency teams, including London’s Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene and found a 22-year-old man seriously injured.

Despite frantic efforts, the victim, Exauce Ngimbi, was pronounced dead at 2.33pm.

Suspects in Custody

Four males, aged 14, 23, and two aged 26, were arrested on suspicion of murder. Kieran Brown, 26, from Hackney E9, has been charged with murder and possession of a bladed weapon.

Brown is set to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on 7 December. The other three men have been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Police Seek Witnesses

Officials have informed Exauce’s family and are arranging a post-mortem. They urge anyone with information to contact the incident room on 020 8345 3865 or call 101, quoting reference CAD 3931/05Dec19.
