Gun Charges Hit Canvey as Police Crackdown Nets Firearms and Ammo
A major police swoop over the weekend has landed a Canvey man behind bars on serious gun charges. Officers from Castle Point’s Operation Falcon team, alongside Castle Point CID and the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, smashed a string of offences in Canvey and Benfleet.
Jon-joe Bull Busted with Illegal Firearms
Jon-joe Bull, 28, from Haven Close, Canvey, faces four counts of possession of a prohibited firearm plus ammo possession. He was hauled before Southend Magistrates’ Court on Monday 25 October and immediately remanded in custody.
More Arrests Made, Investigation Ongoing
Alongside Bull, three men and a woman were arrested on suspicion of drug and firearm offences. They’ve since been released under investigation as police dig deeper into the case.
Bull is due back in court at Basildon Crown Court on 22 November.
