Knife-Wielding Raver Busted After Bragging on Snapchat
Abel Buafo’s Knife and Drugs Scandal
Abel Buafo, 23, from Lambeth’s Berry Lane, pleaded guilty to a string of offences from March 2020 to July 29. Charges include possession of a knife, Class A drugs (MDMA and cocaine), Class B drugs (cannabis), criminal property, and involvement in the supply of cocaine.
Snapchat Videos Seal His Fate
Detectives swooped after spotting Snapchat clips of Buafo at an Enfield nightclub on December 22, 2019. In the ‘selfie-style’ videos, he brandished a black folding knife around the venue. CCTV backed up the footage, showing him dancing, singing, and waving the blade at the camera and clubbers alike.
The videos capture Buafo ‘fist bumping’ people while flicking open the knife multiple times. Outside the club, he boasted on Snapchat, “I’ve got my blicky on me.” When told to “shhh”, he defiantly replied, “I don’t even care about the feds bruv, on my mum’s life.”
Later that day, he posted a sad selfie captioned “lost my shank” – slang for a knife.
Messy Flat and Hidden Drugs
Police raided Buafo’s home on February 11, 2020. Inside, they spotted an overflowing sink with plates covered in suspicious white bubbles—not your average washing-up foam. Samples taken were identified as phenacetin, a known cutting agent for crack cocaine, hinting at hurried drug disposal.
