Walsall Dealer Jailed for Three Years After Street Deal Sting
Ricardo Aaron Newell, 30, from Wolverhampton Street, Walsall, was slammed with a three-year prison sentence at Stafford Crown Court on Friday, 25 November. He pleaded guilty to supplying heroin, crack cocaine, cannabis, and producing cannabis.
Caught Red-Handed in Audi Street Swap
On 7 January last year, police spotted Newell driving an Audi A3 on Manor Road. They saw him hand over a suspicious package through the car window to another man. Officers stopped him as he walked away, finding £135 in cash and a mobile phone loaded with drug-dealing texts.
Home Raid Uncovers Cannabis Farm and Drug Scale
A search of Newell’s home revealed cannabis plants and digital scales tainted with traces of heroin, crack, and cannabis. Text messages on his phone confirmed he was actively pushing class A drugs around the neighbourhood.
Detective Sergeant Jon Bradbury said: “Proactive officers caught Newell in the act and have worked hard to ensure he is brought to justice. Dedicated disruption teams will continue to patrol and act on intelligence to tackle illegal drugs in our communities.”
