Ex-Partner’s Rage: Man Rams Car into Crowds After Shooting BB Gun
Jack Richardson, 25, from Stourbridge, went on a terrifying rampage last summer. He shot a BB pistol at his ex-partner’s new boyfriend before crashing his silver Volvo into him outside the Gigmill Pub.
Violent Attack Leaves Several Injured
Not done yet, Richardson tried to reverse the car into the victim again. Instead, he ploughed into a crowd gathered nearby. The ex’s partner suffered a broken ankle. Two others had minor injuries. A pregnant woman was trapped under the car and rushed to hospital for surgery. Thankfully, both mum and baby are reported to be doing well.
Quick Justice after Five-Minute Mayhem
After smashing his Volvo into the pub crowd, Richardson fled, only to hand himself in two days later. The violent chaos all happened in just about five minutes.
Five Years Inside and Tough Bans
Wolverhampton Crown Court sentenced Richardson on Monday 14 March to five years in jail. He pled guilty to:
- Two counts of grievous bodily harm
- Two counts of actual bodily harm
- Possession of an imitation firearm with intent
- Possession of cannabis
- Driving without insurance
- Driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence
He also received a restraining order and a four-year driving ban. Justice served for a chilling summer attack that shocked Stourbridge locals.
