Stockton Monster Attacks Woman with Dog Lead
Aaron McCall, 29, from Smith Street, Stockton, launched a brutal assault on a stranger last August. The victim was walking near Stockton High Street when McCall attacked her with a dog lead before violently sexually assaulting her.
Hero Witness Rushed to Scene
Screams pierced the night, catching the attention of a passer-by who rushed over. But McCall made a quick getaway. Police launched an extensive CCTV hunt and soon identified the attacker as Aaron McCall.
Detective Praises Community for Bringing Offender to Justice
“I hope this sentence brings some closure to the victim, who has continued to suffer from the mental scars of that night. I would like to thank the victim for her courage throughout the police investigation and subsequent criminal proceedings,” said Detective Constable James Limon from Stockton CID.
“I also want to thank local businesses and witnesses who came forward following public appeals. Together, we’ve taken a dangerous offender off the streets.”
