Pervert Sent Down for Trying to Lure Child to House

Thomas Harrison, 30, from Mossley Hill, thought he had his sick plan sorted on 27 July. He tried to arrange for a child to be brought to his home. But instead of a victim, he got police.

Police Sting Stops Horror Plan in Its Tracks

Merseyside Police and the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) were already onto Harrison. When he expected the child at his house, officers swooped instead. He was promptly arrested and later charged with arranging or facilitating a child sexual offence.

Thankfully, no child was ever taken to Harrison’s home or harmed.

Two Years Inside Plus 10-Year Sex Offender Orders

At Liverpool Crown Court today, Harrison was slapped with a two-year prison sentence. On top of that, he must sign the Sex Offenders Register for a decade and abide by a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

“Harrison has shown by his actions that he clearly poses a danger to children, and I am very pleased to say he is safely behind bars today.” – Detective Constable Craig Doyle

DC Craig Doyle added: “He will now spend time behind bars where he can no longer pose a risk. I hope he uses that time to reflect on the seriousness of his offence and the impact it could have had on a victim, their family, and the wider community.”

Police Warn: Speak Up and Help Protect Children

“Harrison was caught thanks to the dedicated work of officers from Merseyside Police and NWROCU, whose proactive approach stopped him before he could carry out his despicable intentions,” DC Doyle said.

“Our officers will continue protecting young people from these vile offenders, bringing them to justice and preventing future abuse.”

DC Doyle urged anyone who suspects child sexual offences or has been a victim to come forward. “Merseyside Police has specially trained officers ready to treat you with care and respect and ensure you’re properly supported.”
