The fire brigade responded at 11:20 a.m., sending crews from Morriston, Swansea West, Neath, Gorseinon, and Port Talbot. They are currently dealing with reports of a petrol explosion near the junction of Field Close and Clydach Road in Morriston.

Police Warn Public to Avoid Area

South Wales Police have declared a major incident and urged people to stay clear of the scene while investigations continue. A police statement said:

“An incident has been reported near the intersection of Field Close and Clydach Road in Morriston. Please stay away from the area while we deal with the incident.”
