Hounslow Man Avoids Murder Conviction in Fatal Stabbing of Father

Mateusz Staszczyk, 26, from Great South West Road, Hounslow, was charged on December 16, 2021, with the murder of his 48-year-old father, Jacek Staszczyk. Jacek was found with fatal stab wounds at his Chatsworth Crescent home three days earlier.

Guilty Plea and Sentence

On October 27, 2022, Mateusz pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to manslaughter by diminished responsibility. On Friday, February 10, he was sentenced to an indefinite hospital order rather than prison.
