Drug Kingpin Shayden Mullings Busted in County Lines Crackdown

Shayden Mullings, 19, currently homeless, was slammed with tough sentences at Wood Green Crown Court last Friday, 20 November. The young dealer pleaded guilty to multiple drug charges, including heroin, crack cocaine, and cannabis supply.

18 Months of Crime Across Counties

Mullings admitted three counts of dealing class A drugs from July 2018 to January this year. On top of that, he also confessed to two more supply charges linked to Northampton from September 2019. Both sets of offences were factored into his sentencing.

Top Dog on County Lines Operation

Police investigations by the Hackney Gangs Taskforce uncovered Mullings ran a multi-county drug ring. He managed calls from users and deployed “runners” to deliver drugs, making him a key player in the operation. Detectives seized line phones proving his central role.

Police Crackdown Targets Big Players

“The Met is now arresting those criminals at the top of the county lines routes, who hold the lines and not the drugs, more and more,” said PC Cal Gregory of the Hackney Gangs Taskforce. “This new method allows us to properly dismantle county lines routes from the top, and stop others from replacing them so easily.”

“Criminals and gangs will fight one another to take control of the drug supply networks, and county lines are a driving force for violence that ruins communities and leaves families grieving.”
