A man has been stabbed on the terraces at the National Theatre in London

A man has been stabbed in a knife attack at the National theatre on terrace, next to Waterloo Bridge. The London HEMS team have landing following the incident that took place just after 4pm on Sunday. The Met police have confirm that they have launched an investigation and are awaiting further updates from officers. Police descended on central London after a man was stabbed outside the Theatre in broad daylight. Eyewitnesses reported seeing ambulances, armed offices and fire engines surrounding the Southbank after the police incident at the tourist hotspot. The seriousness of his injuries are not yet known and a crime scene is in place. A statement from Police said: “Police in Lambeth were called to Upper Ground, Lambeth, London SE1 outside the Royal National Theatre terrace at 3.59pm on Sunday, 13 May following reports of a stabbing. Officers, London Air Ambulance and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man aged in his twenties suffering from a stab injury. “He has been taken to a central London hospital. A full update on his injuries awaits. “No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue. A crime scene remains in place.”
