A man in his twenties was stabbed on the terraces of the Royal National Theatre, near Waterloo Bridge, shocking tourists and locals alike. The attack happened just after 4pm on Sunday afternoon, sparking a heavy emergency response.

Emergency Teams Rush to Scene on Southbank

London’s Air Ambulance and London Ambulance Service were on site quickly, with armed police and fire engines swarming the busy Southbank area. Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene as medics treated the victim and police set up a crime scene around the terrace.

Police Open Investigation – No Arrests Yet

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they were called to Upper Ground, Lambeth at 3.59pm after reports of a stabbing. A statement said:

“Officers, London Air Ambulance, and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man in his twenties suffering from a stab injury. He has been taken to a central London hospital. A full update on his injuries awaits. No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.”
