Police are on the hunt for witnesses after an 82-year-old pensioner was assaulted during a shocking road rage incident in Lodsworth, just outside Petworth.
Black Ford Fiesta Driver Strikes in Slippery Conditions
The drama erupted at 5.40pm on 20 October on The Street, near the Gills Lane junction. The victim was confronted and attacked by the driver of a black Ford Fiesta amid wet and slippery road conditions.
The terrified elderly man was left shaken but, thankfully, did not require hospital treatment.
Tall Man in Shirt Flees Scene at Speed
Police describe the suspect as a tall man in his 30s, wearing a shirt and trousers. After the assault, he sped off heading south along The Street.
Help Police Find Attacker – Witnesses Urgently Sought
Officers are urgently appealing for anyone who saw the attack to come forward. They are especially eager to track down a Good Samaritan who stopped to help the victim and may have witnessed the incident.
