Man Pleads Guilty to Murder of Cook Found in Burning Car
Michael Leonard, 63, from Co Limerick, admitted he murdered Mary O’Keeffe last year. The shocking plea came at the Central Criminal Courts on Monday.
Tragic Crime in Co Cork
Ms O’Keeffe, a cook from Dromahane, Co Cork, was found dead in a burning vehicle on February 4, 2021. Gardai and fire services rushed to the scene after reports of the blaze.
Sentencing Delayed Until December
At Monday’s brief arraignment, Mr Justice Paul McDermott heard no evidence and postponed sentencing until December 14. Leonard simply responded, “guilty” to the murder charge.
