Stolen Car Chase Ends in Crash and Arrest in Nottinghamshire
Police on patrol in Bestwood spotted a stolen car from Derbyshire at 11:15am on Monday, March 27. The vehicle, reported stolen from Long Eaton, refused to stop despite officers flashing blue lights.
High-Speed Pursuit Through Residential Area
The driver sped recklessly through a residential neighbourhood before crashing into a bollard and another vehicle on Hucknall Road. The chase didn’t end there.
Suspect Caught on Foot with Drugs
Officers gave chase on foot and captured the suspect, James Clark, 32, from Honiton Road, Beeston. During a search, police found suspected Class A drugs in his possession.

Clark is set to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today, March 28.
“Thankfully no-one was injured during this incident but, as with all dangerous driving, the potential consequences could have been incredibly serious,” said Detective Constable Kathryn Lucock.
“Nottinghamshire Police takes motor vehicle crime extremely seriously and treats it as a key priority. We know the impact it can have on families and individuals.
“I am pleased a suspect has now been charged and is due to be placed before the courts as a result of our investigation.”
