The incident occurred at a gym on North Row, near Marble Arch, after the man was reported to be ‘behaving erratically and attempting to fight people’ shortly after 8 a.m. on the 7th March 2023
The man was detained after police used a taser on him. As a result of the head injury, the man in his twenties became unresponsive, and police called the London Ambulance Service for assistance.
He was taken to the hospital. According to police, they are waiting for an update on his condition.
After the incident this morning, there is still a police presence and a crime scene set up at the gym, and the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified.

Police were called at 8.05am on Tuesday, March 7, to a gym in North Row, W1, after a man was reported to be behaving erratically and attempting to fight people,” a Met Police spokesperson said. Officers were dispatched. A police taser was used, and the man, who was in his early twenties, was arrested. After the man suffered a head injury, LAS were called in.

“Shortly afterwards the man became unresponsive and was transported to hospital, where he remains; we await an assessment of his condition. The gym still has a scene going on. The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified, as is customary.”
Air ambulance just landed in Marble Arch, London, two police cars take the medics away,” an eyewitness said this morning. He also told MyLondon that a ‘naked man’ was believed to be in the area, but this has yet to be confirmed.
