Chaos at Marble Arch Gym: Man Tasered and Hospitalised After Erratic Outburst
Drama unfolded at a North Row gym near Marble Arch early on Tuesday, March 7, when a man in his twenties went on the rampage, reportedly “behaving erratically and attempting to fight people” just after 8 a.m.
Police Use Taser Amid Shocking Scene
Officers rushed to the scene at 8.05 a.m. and had to use a taser to subdue the man. During the struggle, he suffered a head injury and became unresponsive.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 8.05am on Tuesday, March 7, to a gym in North Row, W1, after a man was reported to be behaving erratically and attempting to fight people. Officers were dispatched. A police taser was used, and the man, who was in his early twenties, was arrested. After the man suffered a head injury, LAS were called in.”
Emergency Services Rush Man to Hospital
The London Ambulance Service was quickly called to the scene. The man was taken to hospital where he remains in an unknown condition as police await further updates.
“Shortly afterwards the man became unresponsive and was transported to hospital, where he remains; we await an assessment of his condition. The gym still has a scene going on. The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified, as is customary,” added the police spokesperson.
Mystery and Mayhem: Naked Man Rumoured Nearby
An eyewitness told MyLondon: “Air ambulance just landed in Marble Arch, London, two police cars take the medics away.” The witness also mentioned a “naked man” was believed to be in the area, though this has not been confirmed by police.
The incident has left the gym cordoned off with a police presence still active as investigations continue.
