Police acted fast. Officers tracked down Rowley and arrested him three days later in Glastonbury. At Taunton Crown Court on Friday 17 March, he pled guilty to robbery and was locked up for three years.

Rowley also faced charges for carrying a bladed weapon—a screwdriver found on him a day before the robbery. He copped an extra three-month sentence, added consecutively to his robbery term.

“This was a particularly unpleasant street robbery in Yeovil, which led to the victim attending hospital,” revealed PC Jim Card.
“We moved swiftly to identify Lee Rowley and arrested him in Glastonbury shortly after.”
“The tough prison sentence today sends a clear message: the police and courts will deal robustly with dangerous offenders.”
