A brutal attacker has been locked up for over two years after terrorising a woman twice with savage assaults. Douglas Graham, 34, homeless and on the run, was sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court on Friday, March 18.

Violent Offender Behind Bars

Graham received a stiff sentence of two years and three months for a string of offences including:

  • Criminal damage
  • Section 20 – Wounding
  • Assault by beating

Police Condemn Ruthless Attack

Police Constable Ben Wright slammed Graham’s actions, saying: “Graham acted without remorse, subjecting the victim twice to sustained and brutal violence.”

He added, “Cumbria Constabulary does not tolerate violence and our officers will do all they can to ensure violent offenders are brought to justice.”
