Pervert Ian Draper Admits to Hoarding Over 1,000 Sick Child Sex Images
Ian Draper, 56, has confessed to accessing more than 1,000 indecent images since 2011, including dozens in the most serious category. The vile pervert blamed difficult periods in his life for repeatedly falling back into his depraved habit.
Hidden Behind Anonymous Browsing
Draper even installed software on his laptop to browse anonymously, trying to cover his tracks. Police raided his home in December last year after receiving intelligence, seizing mobile phones, a laptop, and a hard drive.
Forensic analysis uncovered a horrifying haul:
- 77 category A images and one video (the worst cases)
- 137 category B images and one video
- 864 category C images and one video
The sickest material included images from “The Simpsons” cartoon depicting sex involving child characters. The “extreme pornography” charges covered two videos: one showed an adult having sex with a sheep, the other with a horse.
Youngest Victim Just Three
The youngest child featured in the images was just three years old; most appeared to be between nine and 16 years. Although many files were deleted and not immediately visible, Draper made full admissions and took complete responsibility for the material.
“He stated he was using the internet regularly from 2011 viewing adult pornography but progressed to viewing children — teenagers,”
“Around 2013/14 he accessed the material more often after negative events in his life. Things improved for a while but worsened again in 2018/19 and he admitted returning to the material.”
Suspended Sentence, But No Let-Up
Draper pleaded guilty to six counts of making indecent images, one of possessing a prohibited image, and a charge of possessing extreme pornography. On August 12, Birmingham Crown Court handed him an eight-month jail sentence, suspended for two years.
Defence barrister Ryah O’Donnell told the court Draper had no previous convictions and had begun therapy to tackle his issues. Draper’s wife also wrote a heartfelt letter highlighting the devastating impact an immediate prison term would have on their family.
The court imposed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and imposed notification requirements for the next decade, ensuring Draper is closely monitored.
