Chaos in Beeston: Woman Hurt as Police Called to Violent Brawl
Police swooped on a Harcourt Street home in Beeston just before 1.30am on March 3 after neighbours heard shouting and fighting.
Attic Showdown: Officer Barricaded by Flying Objects
As officers entered the property, a man blocked their way to the attic, hurling a mattress, microwave, and other items down the stairs. Despite the barrage, police forced their way upstairs and found a woman with a head injury.
Four Arrested on Suspicion of GBH – Plus Drug Charge
The injured woman was rushed to hospital. Meanwhile, police nabbed four suspects inside the property: three men, aged 47, 50, and 52, plus a 25-year-old woman, all held on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
The 47-year-old man also faces charges for possessing class A drugs.
Officers Warn Against Violence, Assure Community
Detective Inspector Simon Harrison of Nottinghamshire Police said: “We’ve arrested four suspects and our inquiries continue. The woman’s injuries aren’t thought to be life-threatening or life-altering, but we’re treating this incident very seriously.”
“This was a dangerous situation that could have seriously harmed our officers. Throwing objects at police is totally unacceptable.”
“We want to reassure local residents this was an isolated incident with no wider threat.”
